UPTON UPON SEVERN

(Sometimes called Upton-on-Severn or as below Upton on Severn.)

The photographs (Above and Below) were taken by R. Barby on 1st April 1961.  They show 77xx class pannier tank locomotive No.7778 running round its single coach train at Upton upon Severn.  Photographs reproduced by kind permission of the Industrial Railway Society.

Upton ticket

This was Upton upon Severn's tiny station on 1st April 1962 (collection of MIAC - photographer unknown.)

Upton Postcard

This is a fairly common commercial postcard printed in LMSR days and showing a train arriving at Upton upon Severn station from Ashchurch (collection of MIAC).

Upton line remains

Looking towards Malvern the line approached Upton upon Severn by means of an embankment.

Site of Upton on Severn station

A fire station has been built on the site of the former station at Upton upon Severn.
