Mick Rock was a member of the Worcester Locomotive Society and was employed at Worcester Engine Shed in the 1960s. The MIAC is pleased to be able to present a selection of his historic photographs on this site. You may copy these photos for your own collection but all requests for commercial use should be made to the Webmaster in the first instance .

The MIAC's favorite engine is 'Castle' Class No.7023 'Penrice Castle' and this photograph shows the engine in pristine condition at Worcester.

Ex LNER Class B1 No.61303 was a rare visitor to Worcester Engine Sheds. The locomotive had been new to 51E and then to 51L in June 1959 and to 50B from March 1962. However it is likely that this photograph was taken whilst the engine was based at 50A (York) from September 1964.

The fourth image at Worcester Engine Sheds is the Standard Class 4-6-0 No.70054 'Dornoch Firth' seen here alongside the coaling stage.
