Hartlebury was the original starting place for the Severn Valley Railway but has now become an unstaffed station.

Two-car Class 150 diesel Multiple Unit No.150112 in Centro livery passes through the station heading for Birmingham New Street. There used to be a passenger footbridge over the line but passengers now have to use the level crossing.

This is Hartlebury Signal Box which was built by Mckenzie & Holland of Worcester in 1875.

The station buildings on the Birmingham bound platform are now in private ownership and passengers have to make do with the bus shelter. Note the signal in the middle of the platform.

From an earlier era Andy Cope has provided this photograph of a class 116 suburban diesel multiple unit between Droitwich Spa and Hartlebury on the 14:50 Worcester to Birmingham in August 1977 in BR blue livery.

Subject: Collision Hartlebury 26th January 1967
"I am interested to read more of about a collision which occurred at Hartlebury on 26th January 1967. Apparently a near head-on collision occurred between Diesel locomotive D7038 and diesel locomotive D8138, both working freight trains. I've checked the online Railway Archive website but the collision is not listed in their accident reports. I wonder if any MIAC contributors know anything of this, or can direct me to any online mentions of it please ? Many thanks indeed".
(Nobody seems to know anything about this - can anybody help? (contact@miac.org.uk).
