BURLISH HALT (grid reference SO 807725)

Burlish Halt

Nothing now remains of Burlish Halt or of the Severn Valley Railway that at this point used to run behind the houses on the other side of the road close to the old oak tree. There is a pathway between these houses which leads through to another street. There is a slight dog-leg in the path which marks the point where a footbridge carried the right of way over the railway (with thanks to Nick Yarwood for this text).

Photographs taken by Andrew Smith on 4th September 2001.
