This is 'Grange Class' No.6876 'Kingsland Grange' (a Bristol St Philip's Marsh engine) at the head of 1A68, the 12:05 from Hereford to London deputising for a failed diesel. The engine ended its days at Worcester in November 1965. The other Kingsland Grange is a school in Shrewsbury.
This superb photograph shows Standard class 9F 2-10-0 No.92135 of Saltley Shed rounding the course towards Foregate Street Station on the direct line from Droitwich Spa on 11th December 1965. The locomotive is probably heading for the PWD at Newland to pickup a train of new track. The train is approaching Shrub Hill Junction signal Box having just come past Rainbow Hill Junction.
