ON TRACK PLANT 2023
Over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd September 2023 the renewal teams were employed replacing about 600 yards of track between Malvern Link and Great Malvern stations. The photographs above are a selection of scenes from this job with class 66s Nos.66847, 66848 and 66594 all in use, together with seven items of on-track plant. All photographs taken by Andrew Smith.
An unusual view of two items of ontrack plant in the "Midland Road" siding area. Viewed for the carriage window of a Bristol Temple Meads to Worcester Foregate Street train which conveniently stopped at Worcester Shrub Hill's home signal waiting for its platform to clear once a late running GWR service had left.
