This photograph shows BR class 37 diesel electric locomotive No.37095 in Worcester shed yard in the early 1980s.

Viewed at the same location in the shed yard at Worcester is another class 37 locomotive. At this time a pair of these locomotives were used on banking duties at Bromsgrove and they were serviced and fuelled at Worcester shed.

Both photographs were taken by Allan Maund in February 1980.

170509 etc

Although dense vegetation had eliminated much of the classic view of Worcester from 'Railway Walk' it was still possible in 2010 to get some photographs during the winter. On a Saturday afternoon in December, the stabling sidings contained no less than four two-car class 170 diesel multiple units in London Midland livery. Nearest to the camera is No.170509 with No.170508 on the same line. The one behind was not identified but the one nearest to the station is No.170503. In the centre road at Shrub Hill Station are a pair of older class 150 units (Nos.150108 and 150122).

170503

A close up view of No.170503 as seen in the photograph above. Both photographs were taken by Andrew Smith in the early afternoon of 11th December 2010.
