This book falls partly within and partly outside of Worcestershire but is nevertheless a worthwhile addition to the history of railways in the county.
There is a fascinating selection of black and white photographs to accompany the information text. Typical of these is a classic view at Birmingham Snow Hill showing Cardiff Canton based BR Standard 4-6-0 'Britannia class' No.70017 'Arrow' waiting with the 5.15pm to Cardiff via Hereford. There are seven pages covering the Halesowen Railway and a similar number of railways in Dudley.
The book which was published in 2002 and was reprinted in 2006 is well worth seeking out.
