CRADLEY HEATH (grid reference SO 940857)

The nearby town of Cradley is in Worcestershire but the adjacent Cradley Heath is in Staffordshire. Confusingly the station was originally called Cradley. It is the next station in line from Rowley Regis on the Stourbridge to Birmingham Snow Hill line. The station was opened by The Stourbridge Railway on 1st April 1863.

Station

Centro livery class 150 dmu arrives with a train from Stourbridge. The station has recently been rebuilt by Centro. Originally the station platforms were staggered either side of a level crossing but as can be seen they are now located adjacent to each other.

Car park

The distinctive architecture is evident in this view of the modern bus/car/rail interchange. The dmu is class 150 No.150105 with 57205 leading.
